Camping with my Honeys

Not a very sexy post, but a fun one (for me anyway!). One of my all-time favorite activities in the world is camping - and we spent a couple days up in the mountains last weekend doing just that. It was AWESOME (even though the bugs sucked). We camped near Lake Kinnikinick (I love that name :) just south of Flagstaff. There were eight peeps and six dogs - a real pack! I did a little hiking and a little mountain biking, Lance did some crawfishing, and some of the others went off one afternoon for some recreational shooting, but mostly we all just hung out around the campfire eating, drinking and goofing off. I love the mountains, I love the woods, I love the lake & I love my friends :) I didn't have any pics of me on my camera when we got home, but here are a few miscellaneous pics from the trip:


My two honeys - Lance and GrogDog. Lance is getting ready to toss in a crawfish trap, and Groggy is helping him look for those icky little mudbugs.



The camping tree. Kinda like a Christmas tree, except the ornaments are empty beer cans :) Not to worry, we cleaned up when we left. See my tent in the background? Yeah, I meant to put the tent in the shade, but somehow the Jeep ended up there instead. Doh!



The Campfire Grill. We eat like KINGS when we're camping! Wish I'd gotten a picture of the tri-tip and ribs we smoked the night before :)

Lance just came back from the lake and it looks like he got the boat fixed. YEAH!! So we'll definitely be heading out this weekend and hopefully they'll be lots of crazyness up at the mini-sandbar! I'll be sure to take pics!

We have a friend coming into town from Memphis in a couple of hours so we'll be heading out for dinner and drinks tonight. Looks like the holiday weekend is starting a little early!!! Woo-Hoo!
