Happy HNT!

Happy Half-Nekkid Thursday!! I got a little artistic during a cam show, painting myself up with glow-in-the-dark body paints. This was SO much fun - I've gotta get some more paints and do it again :)



I have a camz show scheduled for 4:00 (pacific) this afternoon ... but I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to do it or reschedule for Tuesday. I hate making a last minute decision, but I had a drs appointment this morning and now I'm cramping up a bit and my lady-parts aren't feeling so hot. Which is the excuse I'm ready to give camz (and has the benefit of being true!). Weighing heavier on the cancel-the-show side, though, is that one of the bars in town is having a "ditch work" day with pool tourneys, mini-golf, other games (not sure exactly what), several bands, drink specials and even a dunk tank. So, I may just find myself having to ditch work :)

Actually, yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm going to :) I seem to be twisting my own rubber arm!

I SO HATE going to the doctor (I practically have panic attacks, which I know is totally dumb but I can't seem to stop myself), but I think he felt sorry for me this morning and gave me a seven-month supply of free birth control. How sweet! Thats $539 I just saved!

Hmmm ... sounds like another reason to ditch work and go celebrate :)

The good news is that I seem to be out of my funk! Yeah!!

I took the tent out yesterday and set it up in the livingroom. We haven't gone camping since last summer and on that last trip one of the poles broke so I wanted to make sure it would all still hold together (otherwise I'd have to go buy a new tent). Also want to air it out a bit and apply a new coat of rain guard. Weather in Flagstaff is looking OK for Saturday but they're expecting scattered t-storms on Sunday. The last time we were up there (just about this time last summer) there were CRAZY storms (thus the broken pole). Lance and I went up with two friends and our dogs and the four of us rigged up a tarp over a picnic table just edging up to the fire. And we stayed huddled in there all night with our bottles of peppermint schnapps while the wind drove the rain in through the fire (which was BLAZING - we got hooked up with all the wood in the campground as everyone else wussed out and left!) at a 45 degree angle. The entire site was a two-inch puddle and the dogs were so miserable we put them on two cheap plastic lounge chairs under the tarp so they wouldn't get paw-rot. Hellaciously miserable and yet one of the best camping trips I've had in a long time. What an adventure!! Sure wish I had some pics, but we were afraid to take the cameras out :)

Can't wait for the weekend! I'm going to finish packing gear tonight and ship it up to the mountains with our friends on Friday (they're all going up tomorrow but we have poker so we aren't heading up 'til Saturday morning). I love my Jeep, but it doesn't have much storage space.
OK, back to work for me for at least a couple hours before I ditch :)
